BNTC and More on Academic Blogging

Things have been a bit quiet around the blog for a few reasons, not least of which was preparing for and attending the BNTC followed immediately by packing up house and moving from the south side of Edinburgh to the north(ish) side. I will resume the series on academic blogging this week or next and add more on using the reSearch Engine, as well.

A quick word on the BNTC, as I already shared elsewhere: Many thanks to Steve Walton and Matthew Sleeman for chairing a great Acts seminar group at #BNTC, and to participants offering feedback on some of my own work. I have to say that the BNTC (at least in my first experience) has lived up to its excellent reputation. The conference host, the U. of St. Andrews, celebrated 600 years this week–a reminder of the rich heritage of Scottish Universities of which I enjoy also at the University of Edinburgh. I was grateful to meet or converse with a number of scholars. I especially enjoyed conversations with scholars who have been ‘at it’ a long time, including Howard Marshall, Peter Doble, and Loveday Alexander, to name a few in my niche.
